Knob Noster softball rallies to beat Lexington

Knob Noster scored three runs in the top of seventh to beat Lexington 3-2 in a Missouri River Valley Conference-East softball game at Lexington.

Kiersten Foster walked to lead off the seventh inning rally. Adriane Mersmen and Joyce Sparks followed with doubles. Macy Buzzanga singled over the head of the first baseman to score Sparks.

The Lady Panthers shut Lexington out in bottom of the inning for the win.

Lexington took the 2-0 lead on an error in the first inning and a home run in the third.

Buzzanga pitched a complete game, allowing five hits, one earned run and one walk.

At the plate, Buzzanga was 2 for 2.

Knob Noster (7-1, 3-0 MRVC-East) will host Higginsville on Thursday.
