The Smith-Cotton freshmen football team controlled the ball for four quarters in a 18-0 win over Nevada on Monday night at Tiger Stadium.
S-C’s Justin Osburn started the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run with 2:26 to play in the first quarter; the PAT attempt failed. Kyler Simoncic intercepted a Nevada pass attempt and returned it six yards for S-C’s second score.
Nate McFail put the game out of reach with a 39-yard TD sprint with 2:31 left to play.
S-C (4-1) travels to O’Hara on Monday, Sept. 28.
