Bauer, Billingsley and two Gremlins heading to state

In Class 1, Section 3 at Marshall, Sacred Heart’s Olivia Sobaski took second with a 76. Stover’s Jensen Bauer shot a 78 to take third. Both golfers qualify for state for the fourth time in their careers. India Gaume of Pembroke Hill won the individual title with a 73.

Green Ridge’s Madison Billingsley is also heading to state after she shot a 90. Sacred Heart’s Claire Sobaski is also moving on after a 93.

Pembroke Hill shot the low team score with a 332. Smithville was second with a 353. Sacred Heart finished fourth with a 410.

Cole Camp’s Elizabeth Craig missed state qualification by two strokes. She shot a 101. Sacred Heart’s Julianna Bourgeret shot a 117. The Gremlins’ Abby Smeltzer shot a 124 and Anjanae Williams shot a 139.

The Class 1 state golf meet begins Monday at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin.
