Sacred Heart and Cole Camp endured two lightning delays as the Gremlins beat the Bluebirds 10-0 on Thursday in a Kaysinger soccer game.
Christopher Mergen opened the scoring off an assist from Max Martin. Once the game resumed, Martin set up Sergio Justiniano with 16 seconds left in the first half for the second goal. The Gremlins scored eight in the second half.
Martin’s first came from 20 yards out in the 44th minute. In the 49th minute, Martin set up Brendan Volcko to make it 4-0. A minute later, Teagan Trammell scored from 30 yards out. Justiniano scored in the 53rd minute to make it 6-0 and Jack Luchessi scored moments later. Sebastian Aguerro scored in the 62nd minute to make it 8-0 and then added another. Volcko scored to end it with 15:46 left.
Sacred Heart scored its 100th goal of the season. The Gremlins have allowed 15 this year.
