The Central Missouri Mules have entered the American Football Coaches Association Top-25 poll for the first time this season, taking the No. 25 spot in the poll released Monday.

UCM has 43 points, four points behind No. 24 Valdosta State. North Georgia is No. 1 with Central Missouri’s MIAA rival Northwest Missouri State at No. 2. Last week’s No. 1 — Minnesota State — fell to No. 7 with a 31-27 loss to Winona State.

Central Missouri joins Indianapolis, Charleston and Valdosta State as teams entering the Top-25 this week. Wingate, Delta State, Angelo State and Clarion dropped out.

The Mules (6-2) will visit Lindenwood on Saturday.
