The 2015 Boys All-State soccer and final team rankings have been announced, and the list includes local players from Smith-Cotton, Sacred Heart, Windsor and Cole Camp.
In Class 3, Smith-Cotton tied for 10th place in the final team rankings with a record of 21-4, sharing the ranking with Farmington, which had a record of 23-2-2.
The Class 3 First Team includes senior defender Roberto Ramirez and junior forward Carlos Aguirre, both of Smith-Cotton. The Second Team includes Tiger senior goalkeeper Landon Dove. Two local players were named to Honorable Mention, S-C’s junior forward Jordan Lawson and Windsor’s senior forward Christian Stelling.
In Class 1, Sacred Heart placed third in the final team rankings with a record of 21-7, coming in behind No. 1 Principia, 19-6-1, and No. 2 St. Paul Lutheran, 23-2.
Two SHS players were named top players in Class 1 soccer — senior Max Martin was named Defensive Player of the Year and sophomore Sebastian Aguero was named Goalkeeper of the Year.
SHS also had several players named to Class 1 First and Second Teams. First Team includes senior defender Chance Spangler, Aguero and Martin. Cole Camp’s Taylor Sullivan, senior forward, was also included in the First Team list.
Second Team includes Gremlins Teagan Trammell, sophomore defender, and Fransisco Rojas, freshman forward.
