Sacred Heart beat Cole Camp 73-47 on Friday.

The Gremlins jumped out to a 14-10 lead after one, then extended it by outscoring the Bluebirds 19-14 in the second and 24-15 in the third.

Trent Lyles led a balanced Sacred Heart attack with 23 points. Micah Tanguay had 17, Colby Young had 15 and Will Prenger had 11.

Cole Camp was led Unser Brockmann’s 13 points. The Sacred Heart defense limited Alex Pritzel to eight.

“I thought Charlie (Wendt) and Micah Tanguay did a good job of playing defense on him,” said Sacred Heart coach Steve Goodwin. “Everybody pitched in. He’s a really talented player.”

Sacred Heart (7-2, 2-0 Kaysinger) will face Santa Fe in the W-K Shootout on Saturday.

Cole Camp (5-3, 1-2 Kaysinger) will host Crest Ridge on Tuesday.

Lincoln 76, Warsaw 40

The Lincoln Cardinals beat Warsaw 76-40 on Friday.

The Cardinals led after one quarter 25-6, extending the lead to 26-12 by halftime.

Matt Luebbert led the Wildcats with 12 points. Jonathan Plybon and Logan Davis each scored eight.

Lincoln will visit Osceola on Monday.

Windsor 59, Stover 34

Windsor beat Stover 59-34 on Friday.

Trenton Johnson had 13 points for the Greyhounds. Jonathan Schuler had 10, Josh Nichols scored 12 and Jakob Erdman added 11.

Brenden Bauer led the Bulldogs with 18 points.

Windsor (5-4, 1-0 Kaysinger) will face Skyline at 3 p.m. Saturday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Applewood Christian 57, Lakewest 4

The Applewood Lady Mustangs defeated the Lakewest Lady Eagles in the first round of the Lakewest Tournament Friday afternoon 57-4.

Alleea Magres and Anna Ward each had 18 points for Applewood.

Applewood then beat Berean Christian 38-37 in overtime.

Ward had 14 points. Magres added 12 and Moriah Gabbert scored eight.

Applewood Christian will play for the tournament championship Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Late Thursday

BOYS BASKETBALL

Fayette 81, Smithton 75

The Fayette Eagles defeated Smithton 81-75 in a non conference match-up late Thursday night.

Drew Apsher paced Smithton with 26 points. Brandon Amos had 22 and Will Tripp added 15 in the loss.

Smithton will play tomorrow in the W-K Shoot-Out at State Fair Community College.
