The Smith-Cotton Tigers beat Willard 56-42 on Saturday at the W-K Shootout.

Keoni Hale had 19 points and eight rebounds for S-C. Gavin Jones added 11 points. Dante Scroggins had nine points, 14 rebounds and five assists. Chance Johnson had eight points and four rebounds.

The Tigers held Willard to 6 of 21 shooting in the second half.

Smith-Cotton (7-1) will visit St. Pius X on Monday.

Sacred Heart 48, Santa Fe 44

Sacred Heart beat Santa Fe 48-44 on Saturday at the W-K Shootout.

The Gremlins iced the game with free throws from Teagan Trammell at the end.

Trent Lyles led the Gremlins with 16 points. Micah Tanguay added 11.

“Santa Fe played extremely hard and out-played us for most of the game,” said Sacred Heart coach Steve Goodwin. “It was good for us to be in that situation.”

Sacred Heart (8-2) will visit Otterville on Monday

Skyline 56, Windsor 44

Windsor fell to Skyline in the W-K Shootout on Saturday, losing 56-44.

Windsor raced out to an early 6-0 lead thanks to a pair of Trenton Johnson layups, but Skyline soon tied the game and took a 10-8 lead with 1:20 left in the first on a Dylan Mountain putback.

Skyline took advantage of Windsor turnovers in the second quarter to extend the lead to 24-15 at halftime. In the third quarter, the Tigers pushed the lead out to 43-26.

Shawn Bryan led Skyline with 21 points. Mountain finished with 19. Madison Davis added 11.

Johnson finished with 14 for the Greyhounds.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Smith-Cotton 51, Pleasant Hill 38

Smith-Cotton beat Pleasant Hill 51-38 on Saturday at the W-K Shootout.

The Lady Tigers led 28-16 at halftime, then pulled away with a 14-6 third quarter.

Cheyanne Tumlinson led the way with 15 points. Monique Grant added 11. Nia Hawkins scored nine and Darby Christian added eight.

Smith-Cotton (2-6) will host St. Pius X on Monday.

Cole Camp 62, Versailles 47

Cole Camp beat Versailled 62-47 on Saturday.

The Bluebirds got 23 points from Bailey Heimsoth and 17 points from MacKense Gudde.

Cole Camp (7-2) will visit Crest Ridge on Monday.

Skyline 61, Windsor 24

Skyline cruised past Windsor in the W-K Shootout, beating the Lady Greyhounds 61-24 on Saturday.

Skyline led 16-0 before Devyn Williams got Windsor on the board midway through the first quarter. Skyline led 24-3 after one and 36-7 at halftime.

Williams finished with seven points for Windsor.

Slater 36, Smithton 26

The Smithton girls basketball team fell to Slater 36-26 on Saturday in the W-K Shootout at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.

Audrey Williams led Smithton with eight points. Tori Klein had seven and Janette Figueroa added six.

WRESTLING

Smith-Cotton took fifth place in the Raytown South Holiday Tournament on Saturday.

At 132 pounds, Blake Pomajzl took first. He beat Jacob Lichter of Millard West with a second-period pinfall in the championship match.

Noah Aziere and Izaiah Snyder both took fourth. Logan Parham was fifth. Barry Rivera was sixth. Jake McFail took seventh. Jaycobe Kronk was eighth.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Knob Noster 53, Concordia 27

Knob Noster scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 53-27 win over Concordia on Friday.

Lucas Rincker led the Panthers with 22 points. Andre Williams added nine.

Jordan Schluetter led the Orioles with eight points.

Knob Noster (3-5) will face Penney at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the North Central Missouri College Shootout in Trenton.
