Jordan Dey dodges a tag attempt from Joplin catcher Mason Brown in the second inning to score a run off a Jarrod Perry single Monday at Dey Field at Liberty Park.

Joplin kept rallying but every rally fell short as the Sedalia Bombers beat the Outlaws 9-7 on Monday at Dey Field at Liberty Park.

The Bombers jumped out to a 4-1 lead with two runs in the first and two more in the second. Jonothan Ramon hit a two-run homer to start the Bombers off in the first. In the second Jordan Dey drew a lead-off walk and scored on a Jarrod Perry two-out single. An error then brought in Landon Mason.

Both teams score two in the fifth, the Bombers getting a two-run homer from Zach Lavy, both scored one in the sixth and both scored two in the seventh.

The Bombers will visit Chillicothe on Tuesday.
