The Smith-Cotton girls basketball team lost 51-38 to Helias on Tuesday.

Helias led 16-8 after one quarter and outscored the Lady Tigers 11-6 in the second and 14-7 in the third.

Cheyanne Tumlinson led SC with 12 points. Darby Christian added 10.

Smith-Cotton will face O’Hara on Friday.

Prairie Home 65, Lincoln 31

Prairie Home beat Lincoln 65-31 on Tuesday.

Shianna Rhorer scored 36 points for Prairie Home.

Paige Bybee and Sloan Swearngin led the Cardinals with 10 points.

Otterville 51, Slater 18

Otterville raced past Slater in the Holiday Classic for a 51-18 win on Tuesday.

The Lady Eagles led 22-8 after one and held Slater to one point in the second quarter.

Hannah Benny scored 19 points for Otterville.

With the win, Otterville wins its pool for the tournament and will play for the Holiday Classic title at 4 p.m. on Saturday.


Jamestown 65, Stover 46

Stover fell to Jamestown in the first round of the Stover Tournament 65-46 on Tuesday.

Brenden Bauer led the Bulldogs with 21 points.

Garrett Wolfe scored 18 points for Jamestown.

Stover will face Laquey at 9 p.m. Thursday.

Cole Camp 80, Russellville 50

Cole Camp beat Russellville 80-50 in the first round of the Stover Tournament on Tuesday.

Alex Pritzel scored 30 points for the Bluebirds.

Dylan Henderson led Russellville with 11 points.

Cole Camp will face Stoutland in the tournament semifinal at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Late Monday


California 67, Warsaw 44

Warsaw fell to California 67-44 on Monday in the consolation semifinal of the Tri-County Conference Tournament.

Matt Luebbert scored 14 points for the Wildcats. Austin McCall added 13.

Four players scored in double figures for the Pintos.

Warsaw (1-10) will face Versailles in the seventh-place game at 6 p.m. Thursday.

In girls basketball, Warsaw fell to Blair Oaks 71-18. The Lady Wildcats will face Versailles on Thursday.


Concordia 70, Lexington 32

Concordia raced past Lexington for a 70-32 win Monday in the I-70/MRVC Crossover.

The Lady Orioles jumped out to a 23-9 lead after one quarter and led 45-22 at halftime.

Cailey Cooper and Mady Langkrahr each scored 15 points. Sami Brackman added 11. Elli Brunkhorst grabbed 11 rebounds.
