SFCC lands 4 S-C Tigers for men’s soccer program

Four Smith-Cotton High School seniors recently committed to play for the State Fair Community College men’s soccer program, which begins competition in the fall.

The group is led by Vlad Varshytskyy, who was an all-West Central Conference and All-District selection in both the 2014 and 2015 seasons. The son of Nataliya and Gennadiy Varshytskyy is a two-time letter winner, scoring six goals and adding nine assists. Also joining the Roadrunners:

* Kevin Salas, son of Imelda and Rogilo Salas, who is a three-time letterman with six goals and five assists over his career.

* Nick Holman, son of Karen Holman and Todd and Billie Holman, is a two-time letterman who as a defender notched one goal and one assist.

* Alex Sanchez, son of Veronica Gonzalez and Ciro Sanchez, scored a goal and earned a letter in his one year playing at Smith-Cotton.
