The Sedalia Bombers lost their second straight game Friday with a 6-3 loss at Chillicothe.
The loss puts Sedalia two and a half games behind St. Joseph in the MINK League North Division standings.
Chillicothe got up early with four runs in the first inning.
Thomas Lerouge singled in Josh Ethier, Michael Haun doubled in Lerouge, John Remick scored on a groundout and Haun scored when Tyler Burns reached on an error.
The Bombers got on the board in the second inning with a Jordan Dey sac fly that allowed Jonathan Ramon to score and a Travis Tokarek sac fly that allowed Trey Harris to score.
In the sixth inning, Alex Del Rio singled in Ramon to cut Chillicothe’s lead to 4-3.
But Chillicothe’s John Remick hit a solo homer in the eighth and another run scored on an error to make it 6-3 Chillicothe.
Justin Murphey went seven innings on the mound, allowing four runs on eight hits with three strikeouts.
Brady Womacks allowed two runs in 1/3 of an inning and Leland Tilley pitched 2/3 of an inning, striking out one and not surrendering a hit.
The Bombers will host Clarinda at 7 p.m. Saturday and St. Joseph at 7 p.m. Sunday.
