Haynes-Hohne wedding

Sarah Jean Hohne and Jack Armstrong Haynes, both of Overland Park, Kansas, were married May 25 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Kansas City. 

The bride is the daughter of Jay and Karen Hohne, of Sedalia. She is the granddaughter of Virgil and Mary Jane Koechner, of Tipton. The groom is the son of Michael and Jeannie Haynes, of Springfield. He is the grandson of Art and Mary Louise Haynes, of Chillicothe, and Patricia Armstrong, of Kansas City.

Deacon Mike McLean conducted the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Musicians were Susie Adams, organist, and Coleen Dieker, violinist. The vocalist was Sean Cuder.

Johannah Hohne, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and Samantha Disney was the matron of honor. Grace Haynes, sister of the groom, Hannah Haynes, sister of the groom, and Lyn Pellegrino were bridesmaids.

Everly Hagerman and Frances Buxton, both cousins of the bride, were flower girls.

Marshall Nicely was the best man. Brad Rife, Daniel Patti, cousin of the groom, Michael Hohne, brother of the bride, and Blake Garretson were groomsmen.

Henry Patti and Theodore Buxton, both cousins of the groom, were ring bearers.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents May 24 at the groom’s aunt and uncle’s home in Mission, Kansas.

A wedding reception was hosted May 25, at the Mission Theatre in Mission, Kansas.

The bride graduated in 2009 from Sacred Heart High School in Sedalia and graduated in 2013 from Missouri State University in Springfield. She is a graduate student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, working toward a Master’s of Art in Theatre and working as a theater professor.

The groom graduated in 2009 from Sacred Heart High School in Sedalia. He attended Missouri State University in Springfield and is a service manager at Buffalo Wild Wings in Liberty.

After a honeymoon to Lima, Peru, the couple live in Overland Park, Kansas.
