This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 26

2:24 a.m.: A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for driving without its headlights on and swerving all over the road on West Broadway Boulevard at South Limit Avenue. The officer noticed the odor of intoxicants on the subject’s breath. During an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and they were later found to have a blood-alcohol level of over the legal .08 limit. Chance R. Crosswhite, 23, of Green Ridge, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

8:45 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot in the 1900 block of West Main Street for an equipment violation. A passenger in the vehicle was found in possession of a controlled substance. Bruce A. Gullett, 34, of the 33200 block of Walnut School Road, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

9:26 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 500 block of South Ohio Avenue for a reported physical disturbance. A male subject failed to obey lawful orders and resisted officers attempting to place him under arrest. After a short struggle with officers, the male subject was detained. Zachary A. Kronk, 2, of the 400 block of East Saline Street, was arrested for municipal charges of failure to obey, resisting arrest and public peace disturbance.

11:01 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East Third Street and South Lamine Avenue for a license violation. A passenger in the vehicle was found in possession of methamphetamine. Robert W. Lawson, 63, of the 1500 block of South Missouri Avenue, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Nov. 27

3:15 a.m.: Officers conducted a subject check near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Harrison Avenue. The subject fled from officers but was caught a short distance away. The subject had three active Pettis County warrants and was in possession of marijuana. Roderick R. Vose, 32, of the 400 block of West Seventh Street, was arrested for the warrants, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and felony resisting arrest.

Dec. 1

8:36 a.m.: Officers noticed a vehicle with no plates on the front of the vehicle and an expired plate on the rear around East 16th Street and South Lamine Avenue. When officers tried to catch up with the vehicle, the vehicle ran several stop signs to avoid being stopped. Officers discontinued trying to stop the vehicle before a pursuit ensued as the vehicle was approaching Broadway Boulevard and Marvin Avenue. After discontinuing the stop, the vehicle continued, drove through a yard and stopped at a shed in a backyard. The male driver got out of the vehicle and went into the shed. Officers were told by a female in the shed that she was driving. The actual driver was located in the shed and arrested. Robert L. Brandkamp Jr., 38, of East Ninth Street, was arrested for driving with a revoked license, misdemeanor resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 25

4:47 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3700 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a theft report. An employee stated someone had taken a wheel and tire off one of the vehicles in the parking lot with the value of the taken items being $150.

Nov. 26

1:43 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the lobby of SPD in reference to a burglary report. The complainant stated between Nov. 24 and Nov/ 26 someone had broken into a residence in the 500 block of South Engineer Avenue and stolen items worth approximately $2,220.47.

6:41 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to East Broadway Boulevard for a car door in the roadway. The door was collected and transported to SPD where it was placed into evidence as found property.

Nov. 30

6:34 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Fifth Street for a disturbance. The caller stated a juvenile had a knife and was threatening to harm other residents. The juvenile was detained and later transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for evaluation. The incident is being referred to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.

Dec. 1

11:41 p.m.: Matelson J. Gabbert, 22, of Ashland, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated and operating in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident.
