This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Nov. 13

12:03 a.m.: A vehicle was stopped around South Montgomery Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard for failing to maintain its lane and no plates. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was impaired by drugs. Elijah R. Lopez, 18, of Warrensburg, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, minor in possession of alcohol, failure to maintain financial responsibility, improper lane usage and a Sedalia warrant.

3:07 p.m.: An officer performed a traffic stop at West Main Street and South Grand Avenue for excessive speed and no visible license plate. A computer check revealed the driver’s license was suspended. Aleksey N. Ryakhmyatullov, 24, of the 1600 block of West 18th Street, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

Nov. 15

1:41 a.m.: A vehicle was stopped in the area of North Emmet Avenue and East Howard Street for driving northbound on the southbound side of South New York Avenue, north of East Broadway Boulevard. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Richard D. Brandkamp, 31, of the 28700 block of state Route U, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

9:35 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the area of East Third Street and South Engineer Avenue in reference to a traffic complaint. The caller stated a vehicle was driving 10 mph and hit the curb several times. Contact was made with the driver and after an investigation, it was determined the driver was impaired by drugs. The driver was also in the possession of a pipe with a green, leafy substance in it. Alexander N. Orloff, 52, of the 200 block of East 13th Street, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:53 p.m.: A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle as it pulled into a business in the 800 block of South Limit Avenue, after it burned out, slid and skidded through an intersection. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. David G. Woolery, 31, of the 2900 block of Monsees Drive, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. His passenger, Bradley M. Powers, 34, of the 1800 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested for a Benton County warrant.

Incidents

Nov. 13

2:32 p.m.: An officer responded to a business on South Ohio Avenue for a forgery report. The caller stated a fraudulent prescription request was received at the business. At the time of the report, the suspect had not been located.

9:17 a.m.: In the 600 block of East Fifth Street, a woman and her baby were reported missing. The subjects had not been located at the time of the report.

Nov. 14

1:15 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Limit Avenue for an assault. The complainant stated an unknown female had assaulted one of their employees and the subject had fled before officers arrived.

3:47 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue regarding a violation of a full order of protection. The suspect had sent several text messages and recordings overnight where they called the complainant names and threatened them. The complainant resided in Green Ridge and a warrant application was submitted for violation of an order of protection.

Nov. 15

5:02 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the police department lobby for a domestic disturbance which had just occurred in the 1500 block of East Ninth Street. The complainant stated an argument led to the suspect grabbing a knife and threatening to kill them. Charges were requested to the state for fourth-degree domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

11:40 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 2400 block of West Second Street on a missing person report. The reporting party stated their 14-year-old daughter had left the residence sometime in the last hour. They also stated the minor had a history of being habitually absent from the residence. The minor was entered as missing and no foul play was suspected.

9:40 p.m.: Deputies arrested Tylor G. Washington, 20, of Smithton, on a Pettis County warrant for stealing and fraudulent use of a credit device.

Nov. 13

10:09 a.m.: Nikolay Boyko, 51, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.

Nov. 14

1:09 p.m.: Robert Sayers, 67, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County for no seat belt and a misdemeanor Morgan County warrant.
