This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 9

2:19 p.m.: A subject check was conducted on a driver near the intersection of West 10th Street and South Grand Avenue. The driver was found to have a suspended license. Tylor T. Spade, 31, of Cole Camp, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

Oct. 10

12:57 a.m.: An officer responded to the 2500 block of Wing Avenue for a domestic assault. The complainant had several injuries due to the assault. Rickey G. Christian, 42, of the 2500 block of Wing Avenue, was arrested for second-degree domestic assault.

5:06 p.m.: An officer responded to a disturbance in progress near the intersection of East 10th Street and South Massachusetts Avenue. One subject was found to have stolen property in her possession, weapons and a controlled substance on their person. Grace M. Turley, 18, of Smithton, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and stealing from a building.

7:05 p.m.: Officers conducted a stop in the area of East Fourth Street and South Emmet Avenue. William A. Savage, 38, of state Route TT, was arrested for unlawful possession of a concealable weapon, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

11:49 p.m.: A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle at East Broadway Boulevard and South Marvin Avenue for driving with no lights. It was discovered the driver had a revoked license. Melissa L. Dorsey, 31, of the 1300 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested for driving with a revoked license.

Oct. 11

7:21 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Montgomery Avenue for a license violation. A K9 was deployed that alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search revealed methamphetamine and marijuana both packaged for sales and a digital scale. The driver also had a revoked license. Robert P. Bower, 35, of the 300 block of East Second Street, was arrested for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, driving with a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:49 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Sixth Street for a domestic disturbance. The complainant reported they were cut with a knife during an argument by the suspect. They also reported the same suspect had pointed a handgun at them during another argument. Marlana R. Smith, 38, of the 300 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested for second-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

Incidents

Oct. 9

6:56 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Albright Court for an assault report. Two individuals reported they were assaulted by the same suspect on two separate days. The suspect was identified and charges are being requested through the juvenile court.

Oct. 11

7:26 a.m.: An officer responded to the 600 block of East 10th Street for a theft in progress. The complainant stated while they were inside the residence they heard a loud noise. When they stepped outside they found someone underneath their vehicle attempting to cut the catalytic converter off of it. They yelled at the subject, who fled.

11:20 p.m.: Officers responded to the 600 block of West Jefferson Street for a report of a robbery. A bullet hole was located inside the residence.

Oct. 10

12:03 a.m.: Deputies arrested Gregory Cole in the 6700 block of U.S. Route 50 for first-degree trespassing.

Oct. 10

11:46 a.m.: Kenneth D. Wheeler, 73, of Kingsville, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain the right half of the roadway and no insurance.

6:19 p.m.: Brian C. Johnson, 33, of Mount Ayr, Iowa, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and no valid license.
