June 11 Police Reports

This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

June 9

9:01 p.m.: Raul T. Martinez, 34, of the 1100 block of East 10th Street, was arrested at his residence on a charge of failure to obey.

June 10

1:25 p.m.: Corey D. Moore, 21, of the 1100 block of West Third Street, was arrested in the 200 block of West Second Street on charges of child abuse, first degree assault and first degree endangering the welfare of a child.


June 8

2:53 a.m.: A license plate was found at a business in the 3100 block of West 10th Street.

1:25 p.m.: A victim reported her daughter came into her residence in the 3300 block of Southwest Boulevard, punched her repeatedly and drove away. The victim stated no medical attention was needed.

5:28 p.m.: Two front yards were reported damaged in the 1200 block of South Moniteau Avenue when an unknown suspect drove through the yards, ripping out grass. Damage was estimated at $75 for each residence.

5:29 p.m.: A Samsung Galaxy S5, valued at $750, was reported stolen by a known suspect as she was moving her belongings out of a residence in the 1100 block of South Harding Avenue.

7:16 p.m.: $22.73 worth of gas was reported stolen from a business in the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue.

June 9

10:01 a.m.: A suspect reportedly placed various food items into her bra at a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard and left without paying.

10:01 a.m.: A former employee reportedly stole food items and lottery tickets, valued at $122.51, from a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard.

10:06 a.m.: An unknown person reportedly damaged the grassy area behind the elementary school, the grass area around the playground, and the Susie Ditzfeld Memorial Stadium field in the 2500 block of West 32nd Street, causing about $3,300 in damage.

1:14 p.m.: A black book bag containing clothing and food items was found in the 2700 block of West 16th Street.

3:24 p.m.: A wallet was found in a yard in the 500 block of West Fifth Street. It was later returned to the owner.

June 8

8:28 p.m.: Dustin Lee McIlroy was arrested near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and state Route 135 on a charge of possession of marijuana.

June 10

2:38 a.m.: Dmitriy P. Ovseychuk was arrested in the 2600 block of Broadway Boulevard on charges of driving with a suspended license, following another vehicle too closely and no seat belt.

3:16 a.m.: Okwedi Chuckubogu, of Texas, was issued a court summons near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and Covered Bridge Road for possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana.
