The Democrat welcomed a new member of the advertising department this month.
Matt Hoke joined the Democrat’s advertising department in mid-June as its newest sales consultant.
“I’ve lived in Sedalia pretty much my whole life. Joining the Sedalia Democrat team is a fantastic feeling. It feels as though I’m contributing to the local community,” Hoke said.
The Smith-Cotton High School graduate moved to Sedalia when he was 6-months-old and has lived in Sedalia ever since. He and his wife travel the country whenever they can and so far they have visited 11 states, with plans to visit all 50.
Hoke previously worked in retail management and has experience with customer service. While working at Walgreens he helped organize the Warrensburg team’s Red Nose charity event, which raised more than $5,000 at the Warrensburg store.
“We’re excited to have Matt join us and know he’ll be an asset to our advertising sales team,” said Advertising Manager Eddie Crouch. “With Matt’s retail background and commitment to customer service and his enthusiasm, our advertisers can be confident that Matt will work with them to move their business forward.”
Hoke will serve as a sales consultant for Pettis, Morgan and Henry counties for the Sedalia Democrat, Pettis County Plainsman, South Plainsman and also the Whiteman Warrior. In addition to print advertising, Hoke will help his customers grow their business using digital media including mobile apps, online ad campaigns and other digital marketing tools.
He joins fellow sales consultants Tom Martin, Zana Meek and Nichole Hutchings.
