A Warrensburg man was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with a child pornography investigation.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol news release, Mickie A. Dominis, 30, was arrested on a charge of promoting child pornography. He was arrested after a “lengthy investigation” conducted by members of the MSHP Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit.
On Thursday, investigators served a search warrant at Dominis’ residence located in the 500 block of West Young Street in Warrensburg. As a result of the search, investigators located child pornography and computer equipment allegedly used to commit the crime. Dominis was arrested and taken to the Johnson County Jail. The Patrol was assisted by officers of the Warrensburg Police Department.
The Johnson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Dominis with first degree promoting child pornography. Dominis is being was issued a $30,000 cash-only bond.
According to online court documents, special conditions with his bond include “no contact with children under 17 by any means including phone, text, IM, social media, or third parties until further order of the court. No access to any Internet-capable devices, including, but not limited to, netbooks, notebooks, cell phones, iPads, laptops, desktop computers, wireless routers; remove same from defendant’s home or any place where defendant goes.”
A hearing or arraignment had not been scheduled at press time. Online court records do not list an attorney for Dominis.
