Clinton woman hurt in Johnson
A Clinton woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:35 p.m. Monday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Allie S. Tucker-Madsen, 21, of Warrensburg, was driving south on Business 13, north of County Road NE 250, when she stopped to make a left turn. Another southbound vehicle driven by Scott O. Sather, 47, of Clinton, overtook and struck the rear of Tucker-Madsen’s vehicle.
A passenger in Sather’s vehicle, Amanda S. Sather, 38, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries.
Reports indicate all three people were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Man injured in motorcycle wreck
A Granite City, Illinois, man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ryan E. Kite, 22, was driving a motorcycle north on state Route WW near County Road SE 1101 when he failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, where it struck a hay bale.
Kite, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for his injuries.
