Posted

The Missouri State Highway Patrol canceled an Amber Alert out of Warsaw late Thursday, Sept. 26.

The alert was pushed out at 7:11 p.m., with notification of cancelation taking place at 8:47 p.m.

"The juvenile was safely recovered just across the Kansas state line," the Benton County Sheriff 's Office stated in a social media post. "Thank you to all the agencies involved. Fast acting and sharp eyed law enforcement officers brought about a safe and successful conclusion. I will update you tomorrow after we get everything sorted out."

The canceled alert stated at 4:45 p.m. Anna Savard, 36, allegedly took 12-year-old Bridgette Annaleise Crane from the 28885 Cedar Hill Loop. Savard was reported as Crane's non-custodial mother.

A Benton County deputy responded to the address for a report of a missing juvenile at approximately 5:17 p.m. The two were thought to have been traveling to Idaho in a black Toyota RAV4.

This is a developing story. The Democrat will have updates as they become available.
