Arrests

Aug. 8

2:41 p.m.: Magdalena Nava Sebastian, 46, of the 4200 block of West Main Street was arrested for shoplifting after officers were dispatched to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd. in reference to a theft. Sebastian was transported to the police department and released with a city summons.

5:30 p.m.: Heather Sierra Bentrup, 30, of the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue and Autumn Nicole Christian, 25, of the 400 block of East Chestnut Street were arrested for shoplifting at Walmart. They were released with city summonses.

Aug. 9

6:58 p.m.: Karie A. Baldwin, 36, and Robert Lee Smith, 35, of the 600 block of East 24th Street were arrested for shoplifting from Walmart. Officers issued them city summonses and they were released.

Aug. 10

5:05 a.m.: Brandon Lee Paxton, 32, was arrested after a warrant check in the 1300 block of South Lamine Ave. Paxton had an active felony Pettis County warrant and was hiding inside the residence. He began throwing furniture at the officers and climbed out the second story window where he was quickly captured but continued to resist arrest. Paxton was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of assault on law enforcement, felony resisting arrest and unlawful use of a weapon.

11:11 a.m.: Lachelle Renee Flores, 41, of the 1800 block of South Stewart Avenue was arrested after officers responded to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd. for shoplifting. Flores was released on scene with a city summons for shoplifting.

2:40 p.m.: Douglas Lee Johnson, 52, of Smithton was arrested for shoplifting from walmart. it was released on scene with a city summons.

3:05 p.m.: Casey Rodolfo Cossman, 20, of St Louis was arrested near West Broadway Boulevard and South Babcock Avenue in a vehicle failing to display registration. Cossman was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of DWI - drugs, failure to register with the Department of Revenue and abuse of loose-drug possession.

5:07 p.m.: Michael S. Hill, 48, and Tina May Hill, 47, of the 200 block of East Saline Street were arrested after an officer responded to Walmart regarding shoplifters. Suspects were arrested and released on scene with a city summons.

6:39 p.m.: Stefanna S.C. Brown, 30, of the 900 block of Westwood Avenue was arrested after officers responded to the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a theft. They conducted an investigation and Brown was issued a city summons for stealing.

Aug. 11

1:40 a.m.: Barry C. Rivera, 26, of the 1600 block of East Fifth Street was arrested after officers conducted an investigative vehicle stop at West Third Street and South Kentucky Avenue. The complainant stated she was being followed by an ex-boyfriend and was scared. They made contact with Rivera who was intoxicated. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of DWI - alcohol and harassment.

Aug. 12

12:59 a.m.: Logan N. Madison, 28, of Lincoln and Zachary J. Seaman, 23, of Warrensburg were arrested after officers responded to Ingram Auto Spa car wash, 2618 East Broadway Blvd. in reference to a burglary in progress. Business management observed a suspect on camera trying to force entry into the building using a pry bar. Upon arrival officers found damage to the building estimated to be over $760. Two suspects were arrested and charges are being requested for second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and first degree property damage.

Aug. 6

12:23 p.m.: Officers responded to Shoe Sensation, 2700 West Broadway Blvd. regarding stolen merchandise. They gathered a report and video footage was obtained. The suspect has not been located at this time.

4:11 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Family Center Farm and Home, 1400 South Limit Ave. in reference to a theft that occurred earlier. It was also reported that the same suspect stole another item in July. The suspect was eventually identified in a third theft report taken by another officer. The suspect was arrested by the other officer and charges are being submitted for all three thefts.

Aug. 8

1:31 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a subject stealing a bottle of alcohol.

10:39 p.m.: A man came into the lobby of the police department and said was given a fake $100 bill in place of real money in the 1700 block of South Marvin Avenue.

Aug. 9

5:51 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to Menards, 4400 Wisconsin Ave. in reference to a past theft. They made contact with management who provided the necessary information to generate a report.

Aug. 10

1:42 a.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue that had apparently been in a crash. The driver had no injuries and a report was completed.

11:19 a.m.: An officer took a report for stolen firearms in the 1900 block of South Washington Avenue. There are no suspects.

Aug. 11

12:35 a.m.: An officer took a report of a hit-and-run crash that occurred approximately 5 minutes earlier in the vicinity of West Fifth Street and South State Fair Blvd. The victim driver was uninjured and the suspect vehicle was not located. A report was completed.

9:08 a.m.: Officers responded to West Henry Street and North Grand Avenue regarding an injured animal in the roadway. The animal had been struck by a vehicle and due to its injuries it was moved to the side of the road and discarded.

1:41 a.m.: Officers responded to the 1500 block of South Prospect Avenue for trespassing. They collected information and a report was generated.

1:31 p.m.: An officer took a report for a stolen license plate in the 600 block of East 16th Street. The reporting party left their vehicle parked overnight and the next day the plate was missing.

Aug. 12

7:16 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the lobby of the police department in reference to an individual that brought in drug paraphernalia located in the 300 block of East Fourth street..

8:40 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of West Main Street regarding a found stolen trailer.

3:38 a.m.: An officer who responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of West Broadway boulevard. The incident was determined to be due to mental health issues. A subject was transported to Bothwell to be assessed.

Arrests

Aug. 11

1:08 a.m.: Timothy Hamilton was arrested after deputies were dispatched to the 2400 block of Woodland Drive and Pettis County for a disturbance. Hamilton was transported to the Pettis County Jail, charged with fourth-degree assault and released.

Incidents

Aug. 9

7:30 p.m. Deputies responded to the 300 block of East Pine Street in La Monte for a welfare check.

Aug. 10

5 p.m. The Pettis County Sheriff's Office responded to a theft report of medications from the 30000 block of Ball Road.

Arrests

Aug. 9

6:15 p.m.: Aaron D. Riley, 51, of Warrensburg was arrested in Johnson County for felony driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

Aug. 10

12:34 a.m.: Victor Morales Solorio, 38, of Sedalia was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

10:46 a.m.: Elijah L. Spiwak, 21, of Warrensburg was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

11:30 a.m.: Christopher W. Lash, 44, of Overland Park, KS was arrested in Morgan County for DWI - alcohol - prior offender, and failure to register a motor vehicle. He was released on summons.
