Posted

Two men from Sedalia were arrested Thursday, Dec. 7 after a vehicle chase through the city.

Adam Michael Moore, 33, was arrested on charges of burglary, driving with a suspended/revoked license and two counts of resisting arrest. Kevin A. White, 36, was arrested on a charge of burglary.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 32000 block of Renken Road. They found Moore and White in a vehicle.

The deputies attempted to make a traffic stop, and the vehicle pursuit began. They chased the suspects into and through the City of Sedalia.

The suspects’ vehicle stopped in a farm field near Gentry Road, and the passenger, White, was taken into custody. The driver, Moore, fled on foot and was apprehended a short distance from the vehicle. Deputies identified the suspects and found Moore had several active arrest warrants.

Both men have been charged in Pettis County Circuit Court. White is facing a felony charge of second-degree burglary.

Moore has been charged with felony second-degree burglary, felony resisting arrest, misdemeanor resisting arrest, driving with a suspended/revoked license, and operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner. He was issued a $15,000 cash or surety bond for these charges.

With the addition of his previous arrest warrants, Moore’s total bond adds to $129,500, cash or surety. He is in custody at the Pettis County Jail. His arraignment took place Tuesday, and his next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. next Tuesday.

White was released from the jail after his initial arrest, but a warrant was issued Monday with a $7,500 cash or surety bond.
