Faith Bemiss and Jeff McKinney, both of Sedalia, were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 in a small ceremony in the bride’s yard.
The Rev. Candace Fowler conducted the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her granddaughter ShiAnn Bedwell. The groom was given in marriage by his sister-in-law Tina Schroeder.
The Matron of Honor was Melissa Bedwell, the bride’s daughter. The Best Man was Tim Curry.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the couple released butterflies in memory of those they have lost.
The bride is the arts and entertainment reporter at the Sedalia Democrat.
The groom is retired from the City of Sedalia as the superintendent of public works, as a pastry chef from Andre’s Confiserie Suisse in Kansas City and as the research and development manager at Fantasia Multifoods in Sedalia.
A honeymoon is planned in November to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The couple will reside in Sedalia.
