Broadway Baptist Church will host a Trunk or Treat event from 5 p.m. until dark Monday, Oct. 30. The church will offer bags of candy to local youth. Watch for the large Trunk or Treat banner located at 2119 E. Broadway Blvd.
Lake Creek United Methodist Church, located six miles south of Smithton, will host a Lord’s Acre Sale on Saturday, Nov. 4.
Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. The church will serve chili, soup, sandwiches, pie and drinks. It will also have baked goods, canned goods, produce, candy, crafts, farm products and miscellaneous items. The sale starts at 1 p.m. with Danny Templeton as auctioneer.
