The Missouri State Fair has announced the fifth concert of the 2024 State Fair concert series.

On Monday, March 25, it was announced that country music artists Tracy Lawrence with Ruby Leigh will perform on Tuesday, Aug. 13 as part of the State Fair Grandstand concert series at the 2024 Missouri State Fair.

With 13 million albums sold and 18 No. 1 singles, information from the Missouri State Fair states that Tracy Lawrence “has solidified his status as a cornerstone of country music for more than 30 years.” As he continues to release music and tour, the CMA and ACM award winner’s ambitions have also extended to numerous media and charity projects. In recent years, Lawrence has hosted the radio show “Honky Tonkin’ with Tracy Lawrence,” which currently airs in more than 170 markets. His interest in working with younger artists and being able to explore different topics led to the “TL’s Road House” podcast, which has featured such guests as HARDY, Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson.

With plans to join Riley Green’s Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour this spring, and his first-ever headlining show at the Ryman, he is poised for a big year ahead. After revisiting his catalog with the “Hindsight 2020” Vol 1, 2 and 3 and “Live at Billy Bob’s Texas” albums, Lawrence is gearing up to release his “Out Here In It” EP, set to arrive on June 7.

Meanwhile, Lawrence continues to uphold his commitment to helping those in need across Middle Tennessee and beyond with his Mission: Possible nonprofit committed to serving the homeless. Since its beginnings of cooking Thanksgiving dinners for the Nashville Rescue Mission to frying more than 84,000 turkeys to date, the organization has raised more than $1 million for those in need. In recognition of his philanthropic efforts, Lawrence was honored with the 2023 CRS Humanitarian Award.

According to information from the Missouri State Fair, Ruby Leigh is a 16-year-old self-taught singer from Foley, Missouri, a small 68-person town. Despite coming from a non-musical family, Ruby Leigh started her career at an open competition karaoke contest at 9-and-a-half years old. She sang a capella against the all-adult field, ending up in third place. Recently, she made it through the long audition process to have a chance for a blind audition for NBC’s “The Voice.” She quickly turned all four chairs and continued undefeated until the final round, where she came up less than 1% short of the title. Ruby Leigh is the only artist to go viral on the show, and her audition is the highest viewed in the show’s history.

Tickets to this show are $40 and $35 and will go on sale to the public starting at 9 a.m. May 21 through Etix. The Missouri State Fair will be hosted Aug. 8-18 in Sedalia. For more information, visit mostatefair.com.
