Stover man in serious condition after Morgan County crash

Danny C. Cook, 69, of Stover, sustained serious injuries at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cook was driving a 2021 GMC Sierra west on state Route 52 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.

It's unknown if Cook was wearing a seat belt. He was transported by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia.

Sweet Springs man injured in Saline incident

Neico D. Silkwood, 31, of Sweet Springs, suffered moderate injuries at 2:05 p.m. Tuesday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Silkwood was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze south on U.S. Highway 65 when he traveled into the path of a southbound 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Clayton D. Hieronymus, 21, of Hughesville.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Silkwood was transported by Saline County Ambulance District to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
