Lake of the Ozarks boater injured when slammed by wakes

Ali N. Daoud, 41, of St. Louis, suffered moderate injuries at 2:15 p.m. Monday in a Morgan County boating accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Daoud was driving a 2023 Cobalt on the Lake of the Ozarks Osage arm when he struck a series of large wakes, causing the operator to impact the vessel.

Daoud was not wearing a life jacket and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Lincoln woman hurt in Benton County rollover

Tara C. Baker, 33, of Lincoln, sustained minor injuries at 4:55 p.m. Monday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Baker was driving a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country south on Highway W when she traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

She was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Houstonian man injured in East Broadway Boulevard accident

The Sedalia Police Department reported an injury accident at 4:10 p.m. Aug. 31 at East Broadway Boulevard and South New York Avenue.

Emergency crews were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash with injuries. A northbound 2012 Nissan Murano driven by Robin Mitchell, of Houston, entered the intersection and failed to yield to a westbound 1998 Peterbilt semi driven by Blaine Winkler, of Lincoln. The Nissan struck the trailer of the Peterbilt and traveled off the west side of the intersection, striking a tree.

Mitchell was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
