William C. and Susan A. McClure will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 9.
Susan Schmich and William McClure were married Feb. 9, 1974, at Peace Lutheran Church in St. Louis by the Rev. Leonard Pranschke.
The couple has four children, Sarah McClure (Mark) Gartin, of Joplin, Matthew (Jen) McClure, of Stoughton, Wisconsin, Stevens (Karen) McClure, of Fairway, Kansas, and Hannah McClure (Graham) Jenkins, of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
Mr. McClure is a semi-retired cattle farmer. Mrs. McClure is retired. She worked as a FACS teacher at Smithton R-VI and Green Ridge R-VIII school districts and as a service coordinator at MPower Case Management in Sedalia.
There will be a celebration dinner for family and friends in July. The couple is also celebrating their 50th anniversary with Mrs. McClure’s sister, Kathryn Schmich (Mike) Gelner, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, who was married on Jan. 26, 1974, and cousin, Curtis (Kathy) Schmich, of St. Louis, who was married on Jan. 25, 1974.
