This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 19

6:38 p.m.: Lindsey Pahlow, 27, of the 300 block of East 13th Street, was issued a summons after a vehicle stop in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Pahlow had a suspended driver's license and was issued a citation and a court date and was released at the scene. 

Incidents

April 18

4:36 p.m.: A caller to the police department reported that her wallet was taken from a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard. A suspect has not been identified at this time. 

April 19

8:24 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to Housel Park, 201 E. Howard St., for a report of property damage. Overnight someone had pried a door open damaging the lock. 

1:31 p.m.: Sedalia police and Sedalia fire responded to a report of a fire with a person trapped in the 900 block of West Third Street. It was determined to be a false report. Later in the day, an occupant of the building came to the police department to report she was being threatened and a suspect known to her was violating a court order. It's believed these two events are connected and there is evidence to suggest the same suspect was responsible for both events. 

6 p.m.: It was reported to the police department that a person known to the complainant had disseminated private sexual images without their consent.

6:19 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a report of a suspicious person. On the police’s arrival, the subject was gone and was found to have taken a package of Planter's peanut butter and chocolate trail mix. The suspect has not been identified or found at this time. 

6:29 p.m.: An organization in the 2500 block of East Broadway Boulevard reported property damage to a vehicle. The catalytic converter had been cut off and stolen with an estimated value of $1,400.

7:52 p.m.: Officers took a report in the lobby in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The victim stated that a vehicle struck her vehicle while stopped at a red light. Attempts were made for the vehicles to pull over and exchange information, but the other vehicle failed to stop and left the scene. There are no suspects at this.

11:30 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1500 block of Waterloo Road in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim stated that while at work, her vehicle was stolen off the property. The vehicle was entered into the system as stolen. No suspects have been identified at this time.
