This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
11:52 p.m.: Jorge Fernado Caliz-Maquin, 20, of the 800 block of West 16th Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop near West Sixth Street and South Grand Avenue for failing to maintain a lane. The driver was intoxicated and had no license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked pending release to a sober person for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, driving without a license, no child restraint, minor in possession of alcohol, and no proof of insurance.
2:37 a.m.: Juan R. Nunez-Mancilla, 40, of the 1800 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Lamine Avenue. The driver had a revoked driver's license and was cited for DWR and released at the scene.
3:38 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a previous theft. Management identified a suspect and charges are being sought.
7:23 p.m.: A traffic stop was conducted in the 2000 block of South Limit Avenue. Following the investigation on scene, a suspicious temporary license plate was seized.
