Nevada woman hurt in Benton County crash

A Nevada woman, 24, suffered minor injuries at 2:07 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2012 GMC Yukon north on Missouri Route W near Cougar Way and traveled off the side of the roadway, over-corrected, went off the left side of the roadway and struck a mailbox.

She was wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Bothwell by private conveyance.

Quincy man killed in Johnson County accident

A Quincy man, 53, was killed at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 15 in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he driving a 2014 GMC Acadia south on Rt F when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, a boulder and overturned. The driver was ejected.

It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt, he was pronounced dead on scene by battalion chief Tommy Edwards and transported to the Johnson County Medical examiner’s Office.
