Sedalia native Emma Siron recorded Washburn volleyball’s first triple-double in 24 years during the Ichabods’ five-set win over Missouri Western State University on Thursday, Oct. 15, in St. Joseph.

Siron, a Sacred Heart alum, posted 13 kills, 24 assists and 15 digs to lead then-No. 15 ranked Washburn to a 25-15, 20-25, 15-25, 25-17, 17-15 victory over the then-No. 8 Griffons. The performance marked the fourth triple-double in program history and the first since Lindsey Kersting in 2002.

Siron followed up her triple-double by posting seven kills, one service ace, 19 assists and 11 digs in a four-set loss to Fort Hays State.

Siron and the Ichabods host Missouri Western State on Friday, Oct. 23, and Northwest Missouri State on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Siron will return to Warrensburg, where Washburn will visit the University of Central Missouri — the school Siron started her collegiate career with — on Oct. 30.
