Threat to Sedalia Junior High deemed not credible

Law enforcement deemed a threat made against Smith-Cotton Junior High School as not not credible.

The Sedalia Police Department was made of a social media post containing an alleged threat Wednesday, Oct. 21.

According to SPD, the school’s student resource officer located the student snd detained them pending investigation.

SPD says students were not in danger at any time. SPD received assistance from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and school administration. The incident is under investigation.
