Three hurt in Morgan County accident

Three people were injured in a four-vehicle accident at 4:50 p.m. Monday, April 17 in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol, Stacey L. Morris, 28, of Sunrise Beach, was driving a 2016 Ford Escape behind Clive J. Smith, 21, of Windsor, who was driving a 2008 Dodge Ram. Both were stopped in traffic on southbound Highway 5, just north of Santa Fe Trail. Smith attempted to make a left turn. The front of a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven southbound by Dakota W. Coons, 24, of Boonville, struck the rear of Morris’ vehicle. Coons’ vehicle crossed the center of the road and struck a northbound 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Michael D. Kreutzer, 59, of Gravois Mills. The front of Morris’ vehicle struck the rear of Smith’s vehicle.

Coons sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. Morris sustained minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Lake Regional. Kreutzer sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Lake West Ambulance to Lake Regional.

The report indicates all four drivers were wearing seat belts.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
