Edward Weller is 83 years old, and with his son Mark Weller, the pair runs Lange Feeds, 308 W. Main St. in Sedalia. Edward has been working at the business for 64 years, much of it with Fred Lange, son of the original owner, Paul Lange. Weller bought it from the Lange family in 1985.

Casey Rutherford was recently promoted to a loan officer position in the FCS Financial team in Sedalia. She was previously a Financial Services Specialist. In her new role, she will work alongside Danny Young to provide financial services including operating, equipment and farm real estate loans to residents in Benton, Cooper, Morgan and Pettis counties.

The Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Department recently received the Community Partnership Award from the Missouri Attorney General’s office for cooperation with Phase III of the SAFE Kit Initiative Project. The project was created to inventory, test and track the state's high number of untested sexual assault kits. Bothwell also received an award last year for cooperating with Phase II of the project.
