The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri recently received a $30,000 grant from the Taco Bell Foundation to support programming at The CLUB, BGC’s middle school site for tweens and teens. The funding will be used to support academic success and workforce development programs during the 2023-24 school year.

Quincy University released its dean's list for the spring 2023 semester. Honorees must earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) to be included in the biannual Dean's List. In total, 359 students received the honor during the Spring 2023 semester.

The University of Maryland Global Campus graduated nearly 3,400 students in the 2023 spring semester. Students from all 50 states, four U.S. territories, and 22 countries earned UMGC degrees. More than 2,000 graduates attended "Grad Walk" in Adelphi, Maryland, an in-person experience designed to place the spotlight directly on graduates and their achievements.

Central Methodist University celebrated its Spring 2023 commencement on May 13 in Puckett Fieldhouse on the Fayette campus. Former board of trustees chairman Robert Courtney gave the commencement address as a packed house of family, friends, faculty, staff, and other guests celebrated the graduates. Students were recognized for earning degrees at the master's, bachelor's, and associate's levels.
