Steven W. Evans, 59, of Cole Camp, suffered serious injuries; Jonathan K. Noegel, 56, of Stover, suffered moderate injuries; and Jackie A. Tackett, 67, of Cole Camp, suffered minor injuries at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 1996 GMC 1500 driven east by Noegel was stopped, waiting to make a left turn at Route C and Kelsey Road, when it was struck in the rear by a 2014 Mazda 3 driven by Carolyn J. Good, 23, of Casterland, New York. The rear of the GMC 1500 rotated into the westbound lane and was struck by a 2021 GMC Yukon driven by Sarah C. Hammond, 32, of Russellville.
Everyone was wearing their seat belt. Noegel and Tackett in the GMC 1500 were transported by Mid-MO Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Evans was flown to University Hospital in Columbia by MU Air.
