Fire truck overturns

A fire truck crashed in Johnson County, injuring three people at 2:21 a.m. Wednesday.

Norman M. Maloney, 65, of Kingsville, was driving the truck north on Route W when he traveled off the right side of the roadway a half mile north of Olive Street, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

The fire truck struck a ditch and crossed a driveway. It then hit a mailbox, causing it to overturn.

Maloney suffered serious injuries and was flown in a Life Flight helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. Two passengers suffered minor injuries. Mercedes R. Handley, 21, of Kingsville, and Timothy D. McConnell, 27, of Pleasant Hill, went with the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

All three occupants were wearing seat belts during the accident.

Morgan crash injures two

Two men are in serious condition from a crash at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday in Morgan County.

Richard P. Siebenmorgen, 53, of Blue Springs, was eastbound on Route O when he crossed the center line at Indian Rock Avenue, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. He traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Siebenmorgen wasn’t wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries. A passenger, David M. Faulkner, 46, of Camdenton, was wearing a seat belt and also sustained serious injuries.

A Staff for Life helicopter flew Faulkner to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. The Mid-MO Ambulance District took Siebenmorgen to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Kansas man injured in rollover crash

A Morgan County crash left a man seriously injured at 6:38 a.m. Wednesday.

Antonio D. Stockdall, 29, of Olathe, Kansas, failed to negotiate a curve on eastbound state Route 52 west of Barnett, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. He traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

While his vehicle was overturning, it briefly returned to the roadway, continued off the right side and came to a rest on its wheels.

Stockdall was wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries. A Life Flight helicopter flew him to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
