Four cars collide outside Sedalia

A Sedalia teenager was injured in a four-vehicle collision in Pettis County on Friday.

Ella Izoita, 17, was driving west on Route Y when she attempted to turn onto Quisenberry Road at 4:20 p.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. She traveled into the path of Jeffrey Twenty, 44, of Sedalia, who was driving east on Route Y.

Izoita struck Twenty’s vehicle, causing him to travel off the roadway and collide with a north-facing car on Quisenberry Road, driven by Petr Kukharets, 26, of Sedalia. Izoita struck another vehicle as she traveled off the road. The fourth driver, Sarah Young, 28, of Green Ridge, had been westbound on Route Y.

Izoita was the only person injured in the accident. She wasn’t wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. The Pettis County Ambulance District took her to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Two seriously injured on U.S. 50

Two drivers are in serious condition following a rear-end collision Friday in Moniteau County.

At 3:37 p.m., Qutayba Murad Abu Farsakh, 28, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was westbound on U.S. Route 50 when he struck the rear of Rafael Magana, 30, of California, west of Mockingbird Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and suffered serious injuries. A Cole County ambulance took Abu Farsakh to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. The Mid-MO Ambulance District took Magana to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.

Woman arrested after DWI accident

A Warsaw woman was arrested after crashing her car at 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Benton County.

Bonnie S. Westfall, 56, was turning east onto Waggoner Road when she struck a mailbox, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. She turned north onto West Dam Access Road and hit a stop sign before coming to a rest in a ditch.

Westfall was wearing a seat belt and received treatment at the scene for minor injuries. She was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive within a single lane, according to a highway patrol arrest report.

Warrensburg woman hurt in collision

A Warrensburg woman received hospital treatment after a collision Saturday in Johnson County.

Kara L. Packham, 32, was driving north on Southwest 250th Road when Lillyan B. Wright, 18, of Warrensburg, struck the rear of her vehicle north of Southwest 265th Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. Wright had been driving east around a curve when she struck the left-rear of Packham’s car.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts during the accident. The Johnson County Ambulance District took her to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment of minor injuries.

Man ejected from motorcycle

A man was ejected from his motorcycle and injured at 4:20 p.m. Saturday in Johnson County.

Jason T. Bachtel, 34, of Whiteman Air Force Base, traveled off the right side of Route BB south of Southwest 565th Road and overturned, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

His motorcycle ejected him during the crash, causing minor injuries. Bachtel was wearing a helmet. The Johnson County Ambulance District arrived and took him to Western Missouri Medical Center.
