This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 30

9:08 p.m.: Terrence Allen Cline Jr., 37, of the 200 block of East Johnson Avenue, was arrested after being stopped for disobeying a stop sign and improper registration. Cline was intoxicated by a combination of drugs and alcohol. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and failure to register with the Department of Revenue.

Feb. 2

5:32 p.m.: Trevor James Padgett, 24, of the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue, was arrested after Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for registration and moving violations in the 700 block of South Limit Avenue. Padgett had a suspended driver's license and was arrested but was released at the scene with a citation.

9:14 p.m.: Terrence Wade Wehrly Jr., 32, of the 3100 block of Oak Brook Boulevard, was arrested after a vehicle was stopped at East Broadway Boulevard and South Crescent Avenue for failing to maintain a lane. Wehrly was intoxicated and had a suspended license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license. He was released to a sober person.

Feb. 3

12:31 a.m.: Tyler Dominique Vincent, 35, of the 1000 block of West 16th Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop in the 1000 block of West 16th Street for suspicion of a suspended driver. Vincent had a suspended driver's license and was arrested and released with a municipal summons for driving with a suspended license.

2:29 a.m.: Ruben Rubio III, 23, of the 2700 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop near East 15th Street and South Engineer Avenue for speeding and careless driving. Rubio was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated, two counts of speeding, and careless driving.

714 a.m.: Cynetta Ann Casey, 20, of the 100 block of West Cooper Street, was arrested after police responded to a business in the 100 block of West 16th Street for a civil matter. During the incident, an assault occurred and Casey was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a state charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Feb. 4

2:26 a.m.: Tara Lynn Davis, 41, of the 500 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested after being found in a vehicle intoxicated in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving while intoxicated.

229 a.m.: Sean Christopher King, 30, of the 3100 block of South Stewart Avenue, was arrested after officers responded to the 2700 block of South Kentucky Avenue for a motor vehicle crash. They made contact with King, who was visibly intoxicated, placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to the hospital for treatment.

7:43 p.m.: Marie Antoinette Platt, 43, of the 600 block of East 24th Street, was issued a citation after officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a reported theft. They gathered information for a report and were able to identify the suspect. Officers made contact with Platt and issued a citation for stealing.

Incidents

Jan. 30

9:23 a.m.: Officers were dispatched for a report of identity fraud in the 2600 block of South Limit Avenue. Information was gathered and a report was completed.

12:36 p.m.: Officers responded to the police department lobby about a theft that occurred in the 1200 block of East Sixth Street. The reporting party said someone they knew stole self-care products from their home and they wished to press charges.

11:30 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of South Harding Avenue in reference to a brick thrown through the window of a residence.

Feb. 2

11:01 a.m.: Officers assisted Sedalia Animal Control in serving an administrative search warrant in the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue to take custody of two dogs on the property. The animals were secured without incident.

1:12 p.m.: Officers took a delayed crash report for an accident at a business in the 600 block of East 14th Street. The caller said her vehicle was struck overnight Feb. 1.

3:33 p.m.: Officers were dispatched for a report of a stolen cell phone in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Information was gathered and a report was completed.

9:34 p.m.: Officers took a theft report over the phone from the 3500 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A subject called stating that a person known to her stole a $50 bill from her hotel room. Charges are being requested.

10:59 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the police department lobby for an attempted theft that took place earlier in the day near South Massachusetts Avenue and East Fourth Street.

Feb. 3

10:20 a.m.: Officers responded to a vehicle theft in the 1600 block of West 18th Street. The reporting party stated the vehicle was stolen between Jan. 7-8. No information on the subject is known at this time.

Feb. 4

10:24 a.m.: Officers received a call regarding a past burglary at a business in the 200 block of North Ohio Avenue. They spoke with the owner and gathered information for a report.

10:13 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of West 11th Street for a report of an assault. They spoke with the victim and gathered information for a report. A suspect has been identified.

Arrests

Feb. 3

7:28 p.m.: Christina Mejia-Torres was arrested after deputies were dispatched to the 15000 block of Elm Branch Road for a disturbance. The caller stated a woman known to him was acting strange and had threatened to burn all their stuff. When the deputy opened the door, the woman was standing in the living room with something in her right hand next to her side. A Taser was deployed and the woman fell backward, was handcuffed and arrested. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail for unlawful use of a weapon.

Incidents

Jan. 30

2:24 p.m.: A victim came to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office to report he had been scammed out of approximately $5,000 over the internet. At the time of the report, there were no suspects.

Arrests

Feb. 3

2:16 a.m.: Juan J. Loera Santana, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and no driver's license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

8:12 p.m.: Jason C. Jordan, 39, of California, was arrested in Moniteau County for driving while intoxicated - alcohol and careless and imprudent driving. He was transported to the Moniteau County Jail and released.

8:23 p.m.: Glen A. Johnson, 26, of Holden, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated - prior offender, felony endangering the welfare of a child, and no seat belt. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
