This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Incidents

Dec. 28

12:50 p.m.: The Sedalia Police Department received a report from Children’s Mercy Hospital that a female juvenile reported she had been sexually assaulted in the Sedalia area sometime during the previous evening. The incident is still under investigation.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Dec. 28

7:20 p.m.: Deno McCracken was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. Deputies arrested McCracken during a traffic stop near U.S. Route 50 and state Route FF.

Dec. 30

1:05 a.m.: Derrick Allen Clay was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Clay was arrested after two male subjects took off running from deputies in the area of Vermont Avenue and U.S. Route 50. The deputies also served two outstanding Pettis County warrants against Clay.

Dec. 24

5:25 p.m.: Deputies took a report at the Pettis County Jail of possession of homemade alcohol.

Jan. 1

12:45 a.m.: Deputies responded to the 2800 block of Meadow Wood Drive in reference a reported disturbance. They placed a man under arrest during their investigation on a charge of third-degree domestic assault.

Arrests

Dec. 30

2:55 p.m.: Inez Q. Dugan, 41, of Marshall, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failing to stop at a stop sign and driving with a revoked license.

Dec. 31

8:40 p.m.: Marlana R. Smith, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.

9:45 p.m.: Pamela J. Wood, 54, of Lincoln, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving without a valid license.

11:15 p.m.: Larry D. Dillard, 40, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

Jan. 1

1:15 a.m.: Michael L. Miller, 37, of Jefferson City, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of careless and imprudent driving, failure to maintain the right half of the roadway, felony resisting arrest by fleeing, felony possession of heroin, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

2 a.m.: Caleb B. George, 24, of Blairstown, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
