Arrests

Oct. 7

10:34 p.m.: Daniel Sergeyevich Oskolsky, 38, of the 900 block of South Grand Avenue was arrested after a traffic stop near West Ninth Street and South Carr Avenue for utilizing a turn lane as an acceleration lane and failing to signal a turn. Oskolsky had a revoked license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with a charge of driving while suspended and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

Oct. 11

12:56 p.m.: Daniel Deshawn Smith, 22, of Kansas City was arrested after officers were dispatched for a shoplifting that had just occurred at Hibbett Sports in the Thompson Hills shopping center. Officers spoke with witnesses and identified the suspect vehicle and statements were gathered. Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped the vehicle westbound on US 50 outside Sedalia, suspects were arrested and stolen merchandise was recovered. Smith was charged with harassment to frighten or disturb another person, stealing and tampering with property of another.

6:50 p.m.: Austin August Boatcher, 27, of the 1900 block of South Montgomery Avenue was arrested after officers responded to a call for animals running at large in the 1900 block of South Brown Ave. Boatcher was located and issued a summons.

Oct. 12

1:30 p.m.: Kathryn Lee Ferrell, 33, of the 700 block of North Grand Avenue was arrested after officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. They identified the suspect and issued on non-expiring trespass. Ferrell was released on scene with a citation for stealing.

7:21 p.m.: Gonzalo Lucas Medina, 38, of the 400 block of Wilkerson Street was arrested after a vehicle stop for a reported careless driver. A stop was conducted at Wilkerson and South Vermont Avenue. Medina had a suspended license and was intoxicated. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of DWI - persistent offender, driving while suspended, failure to maintain financial responsibility, vision reducing material on the front and side windows and leaving the scene of a crash.

9:12 p.m.: Ana M. Silva Rubio, 26, of the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue was arrested after a traffic stop near West 13th Street and South Osage Avenue. Rubio had an active warrant and was also charged with driving while suspended.

Oct. 13

1:13 a.m.: Walter Benjamin Xolbal, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South Carr Avenue for a drunk man attempting to get into a residence. Xolbal was too intoxicated to care for himself and was taken into protective custody and left in the care of the hospital.

3:43 a.m.: Cruz Escobar, 27, of the 500 block of Wilkerson Street and Barry Carle Rivera, 26, of the 1600 block of East Fifth Street were arrested after officers searching the area of East St Louis Street and North Washington Avenue observed two suspects running down East St Louis street. Utilizing ground patrol, a police drone and a Pettis County police dog, officers were able to locate both subjects after they had hid in a nearby tree line and concealed items.

At the completion of the investigation both subjects were arrested on drug related charges. Cruz was charged with drug possession - methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, Rivera was charged with drug possession - methamphetamine.

4:55 p.m.: Andrea Miller, 20, of the 1300 block of Osage Avenue was arrested after officers were dispatched to Walmart for a trespassing report. They gathered information and documentation of previous trespass notifications and identified Miller who was cited and released on scene with a court summons.

7:20 p.m.: Scott R. Whicher, 34, Christy E. Whitcher, 31, of the 600 block of East 11th Street was arrested after officers responded to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard for a theft in progress. Two subjects were observed stealing merchandise and were apprehended. They were issued Municipal summons for stealing and giving a court date.

Incidents

Oct. 8

10:25 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to Wisper Internet, 3400 East Broadway Blvd. in reference to an employee using a company credit card to pay for gas in a personal vehicle.

12:03 p.m.: A man came into the lobby of the police department to turn in a wallet he found in the 500 block of North Park Avenue.

8:14 p.m.: Suspicious activity was reported in the 3800 block of Cambridge Drive. A report was generated.

4:06 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of South Engineer Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run accident with an unknown time of when the accident occurred.

Oct. 9

1:39 p.m.: An employee with B&B Theaters brought in items located at the theater. Some of the items were returned to owners, others placed into evidence.

Oct. 11

10:06 p.m.: Officers responded to a disturbance in progress in the 800 block of North New York Avenue involving a knife. A physical altercation had taken place between two subjects in a domestic relationship. A primary physical aggressor could not be determined and a 12-hour log was taken.

4:24 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Crescent Avenue in reference to a found bicycle in front of the reporting party's home.

7:22 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a previously occurred theft. The suspect had been identified but not located. Information was gathered for a report.

10:19 p.m.: An officer responded to 14th Street and South Ohio Avenue for a report of suspicious activity. The caller reported a series of events that had occurred at his residence that indicated someone was harassing him. No arrest at this time.

11:42 p.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue for illegally tinted front and side windows. Charges were requested.

Oct. 12

12:11 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd. in reference to a shoplifting in progress. The suspect had fled the scene but officers collected information from asset protection to submit a report.

2:19 p.m.: Officers made contact with a subject in the lobby who had found a phone at Liberty Park, 300 West Third St. The phone was placed into property as found.

2:55 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of West 10th Street for the report of a stolen bicycle. They arrived on scene, gathered information and a report was completed.

5:59 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd. for shoplifting. The suspects left the scene before officers arrived and information was gathered for a report.

7:14 p.m.: Officers responded to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd. for a report of theft. The complaint reported a female subject stole numerous items, was confronted by asset protection, then fled the business with a portion of the stolen property. The theft was valued at $182.52. The suspect has been identified and a stealing charge has been requested through the prosecutor.

7:45 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Hubbard Park, 601 North Missouri Ave. in reference to a fight in progress. Both subjects sustained injuries and were released to seek medical treatment. A summons will be mailed to the primary aggressor.

Oct. 13

11:12 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of theft that had just occurred. They arrived, gathered information, documentation and identified the suspect as a report was completed.

1:24 p.m.: Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fifth Street regarding a hit-and-run accident. Information was gathered for a report and the investigation is ongoing.

5:50 p.m.: Officers responded to Menards, 4400 Wisconsin Ave. for a previous theft. Information was gathered for a report.

Oct. 11

12:57 p.m.: Mykalia C. Butler, 23, of Kansas City was arrested in Johnson County for felony fleeing, lane violations and careless and imprudent driving. She was transported to the Johnson County Detention Center and placed on a 24-hour hold.

11:41 p.m.: Shasse F. Jirjis, 39, of Sedalia was arrested in Morgan County for possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

Oct. 12

1:52 a.m.: Luis A. Guera, 39, of Stover was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway causing a crash. He was released on summons.

3:45 a.m.: Kyle D. Eckhoff, 19, of Lincoln was arrested in Benton County for driving while intoxicated causing serious physical injury and failing to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Oct. 13

10:32 p.m.: Paul E. Hill, 42, of Rocky Mount was arrested in Morgan County for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash and DWI. He was released for medical treatment.
