This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 25

8:43 p.m.: Jake Dewayne Jensen, 23, of Otterville, was arrested for driving with a suspended license near West 15th Street and South Vermont Avenue. He was issued a municipal citation.

June 29

12:11 a.m.: James Wesley Cramer, 35, of Warsaw, was arrested after a vehicle stop near West 18th Street and South Quincy Avenue for no license plates. Cramer was under the influence of drugs and was transported to the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated.

Incidents

June 29

10:33 a.m.: An officer took a report by phone of an event that occurred at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A victim left her wallet in a shopping cart outside the store and it was missing when she returned.

6:16 p.m.: Officers took a theft report that occurred at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The suspect is known and charges are being sought for first-degree burglary and stealing.

10:03 p.m.: Officers observed a known sex offender driving while conducting a separate investigation. A check revealed he was operating a vehicle he had not registered on the sex offender registry. He had a documented history of this behavior, and four state charges of failure to register as a sex offender have been requested.

Arrests

June 29

8:21 p.m.: Brice A. Crouch, 18, of Olathe, Kansas, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway resulting in a crash. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

11:07 p.m.: Khalia A. Austin, 22, of Kansas City, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and failure to stop at a stop sign. She was transported to the Johnson County Jail and released.
