MoDOT rehabilitating bridge over Muddy Creek on North US 65

Posted

The Missouri Department of Transportation has begun rehabilitating the U.S. Highway 65 northbound bridge over Muddy Creek in Pettis County. The bridge is just north of John Road and Smeltzer Road.

According to its website, MoDOT will be performing work on the superstructure and guardrail as well as constructing a new bridge deck to extend the life of the bridge. Construction is expected to be completed by Fall 2024.

Drivers should know the northbound bridge is closed for the duration of the project. A median crossover has been constructed to transfer northbound traffic to the southbound lanes, reducing north and southbound traffic to one lane.
