Arrests

Aug. 4

12:25 a.m.: Joseph James Sullivan, 41, of the 1100 block of West 10th Street was arrested after officers responded for a property damage report. They determined that a crime occurred and a suspect was outstanding and a threat to the victim. A search warrant was obtained of the suspect's home and Sullivan was apprehended. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree property damage, and fourth-degree domestic assault

Aug. 7

4:54 p.m.: Giovanni G. Panichi, 23, of the 1700 block of South Vermont Avenue was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop near West 17th Street and South Vermont on two males on motorcycles. Panichi was found to have a suspended driver's license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail. A charge of driving while suspended was submitted to the prosecutor..

Aug. 8

8:55 p.m.: Joshua McClendon, 48, of Smithton was arrested after an officer responded to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd, for a report of a theft. The complainant reported McClendon stole several food and clothing items from the business. He was arrested and released with the municipal summons for stealing.

9:06 p.m.: Morgan Harms, 20, was arrested for shoplifting after Walmart asset protection advised they had a shoplifter detained. Officers arrived on scene and arrested the female subject and released her with a citation.

9:56 a.m.: Cora Jean Comfort Miller, 31, of Warrensburg was arrested after police responded to Walmart for a shoplifter. Miller was transported to the Pettis County Jail booked and released with a State charge of stealing.

10:36 p.m.: Lindi M. Brownfield, 48, of the 31000 block of Highway U was arrested after an officer responded to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd. for a theft report. Brownfield was issued a Sedalia Municipal summons for stealing makeup and food items.

Incidents

Aug. 4

10:23 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident.

Aug. 7

9:52 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Limit Avenue for a follow-up for an identity theft. A statement was given by the complainant and a report was generated.

Aug. 8

9:17 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of East Fourth Street in reference to a burglary that occurred overnight.

3:00 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of East 13th Street in reference to trespassing.

9:13 p.m.: A traffic stop was conducted near West Broadway Boulevard and Westwood Avenue. The driver did not have an operator's license and a request for a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license is being sent to the prosecutor.

9:28 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to do the 2000 block of South Warren Avenue in reference to a burglary no longer in progress. A residence had the garage door opened and their two dogs let out. One dog is still missing.

9:47 p.m.: A female subject brought a purse she found at 17th Street and Lafayette Avenue to the police department lobby. The owner was identified but not located.
