Arrests

Aug. 22

7:55 p.m.: Bennett Tyler Neely, of the 1200 block of South Carr Avenue was arrested after officers spoke with Walmart protection associates at police headquarters about a theft. Walmart advised the man concealed items and left the store without rendering payment. An officer located Neely in the 100 block of East 16th Street and he was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released pending a charge of stealing.

Aug. 23

2:07 p.m.: Michael Joseph Randone, 50, of La Monte was arrested after a call came in from Walmart regarding a shoplifter. Information was gathered for a report and Randone was arrested and released on scene with a city summons for shoplifting.

6:18 p.m.: Bryce Elliott Steele, 25, of the 2700 block of Station Avenue was arrested after an officer responded to a report of a disturbance. After investigation Steele was found to have stolen money and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked for stealing and released. 

7:23 p.m.: Erica L. Hill, 53, of the 300 block of East Saline Street was arrested after an officer responded to a domestic disturbance. Hill had pushed another subject earlier in the day and was issued a summons for domestic assault.

10:46 p.m.: Juventino Brenden Martinez, 34, of the 600 block of 10th Street was arrested after officers were dispatched for a domestic disturbance. Martinez was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault. 

Aug. 24

12:40 a.m.: Bryan Rubio Alejo, 21, of the 1700 block of South Prospect Avenue was arrested after a traffic stop for driving with no headlights near East Broadway Boulevard and South Marvin Avenue. Alejo had no driver's license and the passenger of the vehicle, Jario Jose Funez, 21, of the 700 block of State Fair Boulevard was found to have an active warrant from Pettis County. Both subjects were arrested at the scene and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

3:06 a.m.: Rolando Blas Alejo, 19, of the 1700 block of South Prospect Avenue was arrested after an officer responded to Casey's, 716 West 16th St. for a report of an assault. The suspects fled from officers but were tracked to a nearby residence and arrested. Charges were submitted to the Pettis County prosecutor's office for domestic assault, resisting arrest and trespassing.

9:59 a.m.: Robert Dennis Sutton, 64, of Jamesport was arrested after officers made contact with the woman outside the Holiday Inn who said she had been assaulted. They responded to the 900 block of Lamm Drive and made contact with Sutton. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending charge of third-degree domestic assault.

6:25 p.m.: Jared Ward Sanders, 43, was arrested after an officer responded to Bandanas, 2909 West Broadway Blvd. for a report of a subject attempting to enter vehicles. Sanders was located at Simmons Bank, transported to jail and placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold.

Aug. 25

3:06 a.m.: Santiago Cano Lorenzo, 37, was arrested after an officer responded to the report of a man attacking a woman. They were located and Lorenzo was transported to the Pettis County Jail. booked and held for 24 hours pending a charge of third-degree domestic assault. 

6:52 p.m.: Stephanie McDonald, 31, of the 1800 block of South Kentucky Avenue was arrested after officers responded in reference to a disturbance with a weapon. The victim stated a female pulled a knife on them. McDonald was transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, and fourth-degree domestic assault. 

11:11 p.m.: Addison Jacob Selvey, 26, of the 1200 block of Barrett Avenue was arrested after officers were dispatched to McAnally court for a domestic disturbance. It was determined an assault had occurred and Selvey was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of third-degree domestic assault.

Aug. 20

4:02 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of South Park Avenue in reference to a theft report. The victim said overnight someone stole his wallet and change from his vehicle. 

Aug. 23

6:53 a.m.: A call came in from the 900 Block of South Barrett Avenue regarding a previous theft. Information was gathered for a report.

10:35 a.m.: Officers received a call from Menards, 4400 Wisconsin Ave. regarding a previous theft from the business. They gathered information for a report. A suspect has not been located at this time. 

6:15 p.m.: Officers responded to the 3900 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a theft report. They gathered information to generate a report and start an investigation. 

Aug. 24

1:33 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of East Sixth Street in reference to harassment. The subject reported she was being harassed by a person known to her.

3:21 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to found property. A blue mountain bike was located and transported to the police headquarters to be placed in the bike shed. The owner is unknown.

9:47 a.m.: A call came in from the 1100 block of West 10th Street regarding a previous burglary. Information was gathered and one of the items was recovered and returned to the owner. 

3:02 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of West Fourth Street in reference to a theft report. The victim said sometime overnight someone stole $40 worth of towels from their porch. 

5:13 p.m.: A subject came into the police department to report a stolen vehicle from the 600 block of East 10th street. The owner stated a known subject has the vehicle and refuses to return it. A charge of stealing a vehicle has been submitted to the Pettis County prosecutor.

10:52 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Kentucky Avenue in reference to a domestic related incident. They made contact with the victim who had injuries and obvious signs of being assaulted. They were transported by air ambulance to the University of Missouri in Columbia. The incident is under investigation.

11:22 p.m.: A report was taken in the police department lobby regarding found property from West Third Street and South Carr Avenue. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful and the property was placed into the evidence room for safekeeping until the owner can claim it.

Aug. 25

8:24 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft in the 1800 block of South Beacon Avenue. The victim said overnight someone broke into their garage and stole multiple items. 

4:14 p.m.: A wallet went missing at Perkins Restaurant, 1100 South Limit Ave. It's unclear if the wallet was lost or stolen and a report was completed.

9:39 p.m.: A man contacted the police department to report items had been stolen from his truck in the 1200 block of North William Parkhurst Drive. Information was gathered for a report and a possible suspect was identified.

Aug. 26

4:45 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a burglary. The victim who reported someone had forced entry into a garage overnight stealing a dark purple Giant mountain bike valued at $600. Damage was also reported to a window valued at $300.

Arrests

Aug. 23

8:37 p.m.: Victor Grapes was arrested after Pettis County deputies conducted a traffic stop near the 3700 block of West Broadway Boulevard in Sedalia on a subject they knew had a suspended driving status. Grapes was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released.

Aug. 24

5:56 p.m.: Hannah Perry was arrested after Pettis County deputies conducted a traffic stop near North Hurley Avenue and East Boonville Street for a registration violation. Perry had no operator’s status and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released.

10:40 p.m.: Raymon McCoy was arrested after Pettis County deputies overheard the Sedalia Police Department was involved in a vehicle pursuit westbound on U.S. 50 through city limits.  Pettis County deputies located the vehicle and obtained probable cause for stop for failing to signal a lane change. McCoy fled from deputies westbound toward Johnson County reaching speeds of nearly 100 mph.

A Johnson County Deputy was able to deploy Stop Sticks near the intersection of U.S. 50 and Highway D. The vehicle was disabled and McCoy was taken into custody. He had five active warrants and charges are being submitted to the Pettis County prosecutor's office for second degree drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, felon in possession of a firearm, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and driving while suspended. 

Aug. 25

2:09 a.m.: David Carrender of Sweet Springs was arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 22,000 block of Hwy T for failing to maintain a lane. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated - drugs.The vehicle was towed and during inventory approximately 44.3 grams of a crystal substance testing positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl was found. Carrender was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of second-degree drug trafficking and driving while intoxicated.

Aug. 23

8:23 a.m.: Deputies took a report for the theft of an item from the mail in the 27000 block of Rattlesnake Hill Road in Pettis county.

Noon: A license plate was reported lost or stolen from a trailer parked at a home in the 300 block of Lamine Avenue.

Arrests

Aug. 24

10:14 p.m.: Christopher C. DeWolf, 40, of Salisbury was arrested in Saline County for a felony Cooper County Sheriff's Department warrant and felony driving while suspended. He was transported to the Saline County Sheriff's Department.

11:54 p.m.: Laura L. Joyner, 32, of Holden was arrested in Johnson County for felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid license, failure to register a motor vehicle, displaying the plates of another vehicle, and failure to maintain the right hand lane. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released. 

Aug. 25

4:49 p.m.: Randy G. Higgs, 42, of Lowry City was arrested in Henry County for a felony St. Clair County warrant, no seatbelt, and speeding. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
