Warsaw man injured and Benton County rollover

Edward T. Shepker, 84, of Warsaw suffered moderate injuries at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shepker was driving a 2000 Lincoln Town Car north on Cold Springs Road when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. Shepker was not wearing a safety belt, and was transported by Warsaw Lincoln ambulance District to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

Three transported after Morgan County accident

A 16-year-old boy from Barnett suffered minor injuries, Charla A. Bacon, 62, of Jefferson City suffered serious injuries, and Betty C. Ponder, 80, of Jefferson City suffered serious injuries at 3:28 p.m. Wednesday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report a 2012 GMC Terrain driven by Bacon east on MO 52 traveled into the path of a 2022 Nissan Altima driven by the 16-year-old and was struck.

The juvenile driver was wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by Miller County EMS.

Bacon was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to the University of Missouri hospital in Columbia by Mid-MO ambulance District.

Ponder was also not wearing a seat belt, and was transported to the University of Missouri hospital in Columbia by MU Air.
