Oct. 11

12:56 a.m.: Daniel Sheremeta, 20, of the 3600 block of M Hwy. was arrested after a traffic stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue on a vehicle observed speeding. Sheremeta was intoxicated and was transported to the police department and then the Pettis County Jail pending a request for a charge of DWI - prior offender.

Oct. 12

1:21 a.m.: Javier Martinez Jr, 36, of the 2200 block of West Third Street was arrested after a traffic stop for lane violation near West Broadway Boulevard and South Thompson Boulevard. Martinez was intoxicated and was transported to the police department, issued a uniform traffic ticket and released to a sober driver.

Oct. 14

1:19 p.m.: Angela Jean Monteer, 52, of the 700 block of West Second Street was arrested after officers or dispatched to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd. for a reported theft. She was released with a court summons for stealing.

Incidents

Oct. 9

9:06 a.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on an SUV at the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and Sunset Drive for failing to display its registration. A report was generated in reference to the incident.

Oct. 10

10:31 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the Pettis County Jail to take a theft report which occurred in the 400 block of East Harvey Boulevard. The reporting party stated that someone living in the garage at his house stole a large list of items while he was detained at the jail.

Oct. 14

4:41 a.m.: Officers responded to the 400 block of East Boonville Street for an attempted vehicle theft that left the vehicle damaged. The suspect fled on foot before the arrival of officers. Information for the report was collected.

8:12 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Albert Lee Avenue in reference to a 911 call of someone harming subjects at the residence. Officers arrived and located the caller outside the residence. The caller attempted to flee on foot from officers but was detained and was determined to be having mental health issues. They were transported to Bothwell for evaluation.

10:24 p.m.: Officers responded to the 2200 block of South Harrison Avenue in reference to a 911 hang up. They determined it was a domestic disturbance but were unable to determine a primary aggressor so a 12-hour log was created.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

12:07 a.m.: Brandon Miller was arrested after Pettis County deputies conducted a traffic stop near East Seventh Street and South Engineer Avenue for expired registration. The Pettis K9 was deployed around the vehicle and showed a positive alert and a search of the vehicle yielded Fentanyl and methamphetamine. Miller was transported to the Pettis County Jail in place on a 24-hour hold for second-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

Incidents

Oct. 11

10:00 p.m.: A brown wallet found at gas pump 15 at Temp Stop, 4575 South Limit Ave. was turned in at the sheriff's office. Credit cards bearing the name of Christopher Lopez from Blue Springs were in the wallet which is being held in evidence for safekeeping.
