Wisconsin man in serious condition after Benton County accident

David A. Clark, 51, of Racine, Wisconsin, suffered serious injuries and Rose M. Baker, 19, of Excelsior Springs, suffered minor injuries at 11 a.m. Friday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Baker was driving a 1995 GMC truck north on Cold Spring Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle on gravel, traveled off the right side of the road, and struck a tree.

Baker was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District. Clark was not wearing a seat belt and was also transported to Bothwell.

Ionia woman dies after Benton motorcycle accident

Linda S. Browning, 72, of Ionia, was killed and Paul S. Browning, 49, of Ionia, suffered minor injuries at 7:05 p.m. Friday in a Benton County motorcycle accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Linda Browning was driving a 2018 Harley-Davidson south on Weinberg Avenue when she accelerated instead of braking, driving up an embankment and ejecting both driver and passenger.

Linda Browning was not wearing a helmet and was transported by Life Flight Eagle to University Hospital in Columbia, where she was pronounced dead by Dr. Eugene Ismailov. Paul Browning was not wearing a helmet and was treated on scene and released.

Warsaw woman injured in Benton accident

Beverly M. Beason, 42, of Warsaw, sustained moderate injuries at 4:10 p.m. Saturday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Benjamin L. Parmalee, 33, of Warsaw, was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 north on Highway MM when he struck a 2014 Ram 2500 driven by Twylah M. Mahan Gregg, 61, of Warsaw, from the rear.

Parmalee was not wearing a seat belt but Gregg was. Beason was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

Warsaw teen hurt in Benton accident

A 16-year-old girl from Warsaw suffered minor injuries at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2016 GMC Yukon driven by Gary E. McMillan, 49, of Warsaw, south on state Route 7 was making a left turn and turned into the path of a 2005 Saturn Vue driven by Holly M. Helms, 41, of Warsaw.

The 16-year-old was a passenger in the Saturn. Everyone was wearing a seat belt. The teen was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

Two injured in Johnson County near-collision

Ashley M. Anderson, 35, of Bates City, suffered moderate injuries and Beau D. Fleeman, 36, of Holden, suffered serious injuries at 11:52 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Fleeman was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado south on NW 200 Road at Highway W when he crossed the centerline. A 2020 Ford F-250 driven north by Anderson then left the roadway in an attempt to avoid the collision.

Anderson was wearing a seat belt, and it is unknown if Fleeman was restrained. Anderson was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Fleeman was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident. He was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
